Absence due to Illness

Parents of pupils who are absent from School because of illness, are asked to notify the School Office without delay on telephone number 921 1133 or on 789 4565 (main school number). Even though we do appreciate a telephone call, it is helpful that a signed note, clearly stating the reason for, and period of, the absence is provided on the morning of the pupil's return to School. The School aims to telephone the parents of first day absentees to ensure their whereabouts, safety and to get some idea of the likely return date. It cannot be assumed that the absence of a call means that a child is present.

When an unwell child is sent home during the School Day with parent’s permission, a note stating the length of and reason for the absence is still required.

Medical and Dental Appointments

Please arrange medical and dental appointments out of School hours. If this is not possible, an appointment card or parent's note must be shown to the Year Tutor by whom a blue release card will be issued before any pupil may leave the School premises.
