They sorted out the order of play, kept the scores, timed the games and refereed. What made the event special was that they were working in a highly competitive environment and had to officiate very sensitively to accommodate the various levels of ability. They also had to ensure that the games were both fair and enjoyable for everyone involved. This group had already refined their skills by organising Mr Warne's year eight lunchtime competition during the two weeks leading up to the Mini games. Even so they were amazed by the intensity of the competition.
