Logo Design Competition
Year 9 pupils from Wentworth High and Salford City Academy took part in a competition to design a logo for the Partnership. Pupils were given a brief for the work and examples of other logos to draw inspiration from. Teachers at both schools supported the students in ICT or art lessons to work on their entry.
There was some excellent work submitted by pupils from both schools, especially Linzi Merrishaw with her effective design and Hannah Kelly with a well presented piece of work. The winning design came from a pupil at Salford City Academy and is now being made up into the logo that will feature on promotional material from September.
Mrs Barrow, Head of ICT at Wentworth, said ‘All pupils enjoyed taking part in the competition and worked well. The brief and using a new piece of software captured their imagination.’
The competition winner and those named above will receive gift vouchers supplied by the Nike Factory Outlet in the Lowry Outlet Mall in Salford Quays. |
