Geography
Geography is taught at KS3 and KS4.
KS3
At KS3 pupils receive two lessons of geography per week for three years and the syllabus follows the national curriculum guidelines (http://www.nc.uk.net). Topics cover the three aspects of geography, physical, human and environmental.
KS4
At the end of KS3 pupils can choose GCSE Geography as an option. The course follows the AQA GCSE Geography Specification A syllabus (http://www.aqa.org.uk/qual/gcse/geo_a.html)
Pupils study six topics including mapskills and complete a compulsory coursework study. Pupils receive three lessons per week over two years. |
