History

History is taught at KS3 and KS4.

KS3

At KS3 pupils receive two lessons of history per week for three years and the syllabus follows the National Curriculum guidelines (http://www.nc.uk.net)). Topics include The Romans, Medieval Realms and The Making of the UK. Click here to go to the KS3 downloads.

KS4

At the end of KS4 pupils can choose GCSE History as an option. The course follows the AQA GCSE History Specification B syllabus (http://www.aqa.org.uk/qual/gcse/hist_b.html). The syllabus looks at modern history and considers topics such as the first and second world wars and the Arab /Israeli conflict. Pupils receive three lessons per week over two years.
