Religion

Religion is taught at KS3 and KS4.

KS3

At KS3 pupils receive one lesson of RE per week in Year 7 and 8 only. The course follows the Salford Agreed Syllabus. The main focus of teaching is the study of Christianity and Islam.

KS4

At KS4 pupils receive one lesson of RE per week in Year 11 only. The course follows the Salford Agreed Syllabus and pupils study a variety of moral themes with consideration of the cultural and religious teachings from the six world religions.

From September 2007 Religious Education will be offered as a GCSE option following AQA GCSE Religious Education Specification A.
