ICT
The ICT department consists of 5 specialist ICT teachers each teaching in a dedicated ICT teaching room with 30 computers and an interactive whiteboard.
All pupils at Key stage 3 are allocated 4 hours of ICT per fortnight. Topics taught at Key stage 3 include spreadsheets, Databases, Multimedia, Desktop Publishing, Webpage design etc.
At Key stage 4, ICT is a compulsory subject with all pupils allocated 5 hours of ICT per fortnight. The course undertaken at Key stage 4 is currently the EDEXCEL DIDA course where pupils have the opportunity to achieve 4 good grades.
Other courses offered at Key Stage 4 by the faculty include OCR Nationals Level 2 in Business and Btec Creative Media.
