The Diana Memorial Award

This year, for the first time ever, four pupils have been successfully nominated for the Diana Memorial Awards. These awards are given to celebrate the innate qualities of courage, compassion, commitment and selfless duty to others shown by many young people. They recognize the contribution made to the school, families, friends or communities and take into account the impact that the nominated pupils have had, their personal commitment and the length of time their involvement has lasted.

Our successful candidates were Emma Vallely and Chloe Johonnet (year 10) together with Kathryn Vickers and Sarah L Morris (Year 11). These pupils have supplied outstanding support for other pupils as peer mentors over at least two years and have unselfishly given up significant amounts of time to train and help other pupils to cope with a range of difficulties that have been affecting their lives.

We are delighted that these four pupils have received the nominations and are confident that others will follow in their footsteps.

Wentworth pupils have demonstrated time after time the caring qualities that make this school an enjoyable and inspiring place to work and we are justifiably proud of them.
