Technology
Pupils’ experiences in Technology have been enhanced with the introduction of mixed ability groups giving all pupils the opportunity to achieve their potential and more. Peer assessment is readily encouraged and gives pupils a chance to give constructive, practical feedback to each other as well as inform their own work thereby developing successful ideas for a range of contexts.
Computer aided design and manufacture are a key feature of projects both at key stages 3 and 4 which helps pupils build their knowledge, confidence and skills .
Together with a fully equipped IT suite incorporating a laser cutter and cutter/plotter, students also have access to and use of a 3D router and Boxford Mill/CAM Duo within the workshop environment.
There are currently 3 full time members of staff within the faculty working within their own area of expertise.
Head of faculty is Mr Janvier,
who is supported by Mrs Alston and Mrs Whiteoak
